We are excited to bring you Leading the Charge | How leading UK organisations are supporting social mobility, a report on the findings from the 2019 SOMOs.
Last year’s initiative built on the success of previous years, with a 30% increase in both entrants and entries. Members of the judging panel and other supporters felt that it would be beneficial to have an overview of all the entries to see if there were any useful trends and to see what lessons could be learned. Leading the Charge takes a category by category look at what the entrants did, and highlights 40 key points from submissions of the organisations, that collectively employed over 1 million people, that entered the SOMOs.
From the bulk of Organisation of the Year entrants having a social mobility plan, to there being more needed to be done in Progression, this report clearly identifies what was happening in the field.
