In the current complex and dynamic environment of COVID-19, being recognised as an organisation making a positive contribution to society is more important than ever. The UK Social Mobility Awards invites organisations to be a part of this movement and for them to inspire companies across the UK to do more for social mobility. However, because of the impact of COVID-19, we understand that many organisations cannot operate in the same way that they have done in previous years.
Following the recent changes to the government guidelines, those organisations that so far have not been able to operate are now taking the cautious steps towards returning to work and establishing the ‘new normal’. We have listened to their concerns, specifically that the current deadline for entries does not give them enough time to submit their entries. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the entry deadline will be extended by 2 weeks – the new deadline is 5pm on 10th July 2020.
The SOMOs are determined to be able to assure that as many organisations and individuals as possible have to opportunity to enter the UK Social Mobility Awards 2020. With an additional 2 weeks to submit your entry, this is an opportunity to register your organisation and showcase all your efforts in advancing social mobility.
